Review: Love Done Write by Amelia Foster (2019)

Heat Factor: Many chili pepper emojis

Character Chemistry: They spend a lot of time getting off anonymously via the interweb

Plot: Number one fan writes fan mail to sexy romantic erotica writer’s pen name. After some time going back and forth, they meet up for IRL and explosions commence.

Overall: It’s a wild romp, and a fun read.

Sydney pretty much can’t keep her hands off herself when she reads author HR Reve. Like…can’t wait until she gets home so she gets busy in her work bathroom. (Which, she’s a hairstylist? So I just kept picturing all those little razor sharp hair pieces getting stuck in tender places, but I also worked a short stint in a hair salon so I may know too much to enjoy that particular scene…)

HR Reve is, in fact, Harrison — a celebrated writing professor and older man dreamboat-type. Sydney and HR decide to meet up for a night o’ fun at a hotel (ok, quick sidenote — this sweetie is so lucky because she really needed more qualms about this little situation considering the monumental risks she was taking meeting up with an online stranger in a hotel but that’s just the mom in me speaking so — carry on) and at about the same time, Sydney is about to chase her dream of writing by signing up for college classes.

I shan’t spoil it, but you get the idea of where this is going…the story is really quite good. I found that the author writes detail in exactly the ways and in exactly the scenarios one wants some nice detail. I normally dislike relationships where the power dynamic is really off kilter, but the author handles it really well. I do think Sydney was a little absurd to get super mad about HR Reve “deceiving” her when she knew full well she was dating someone with a pen name? Like, he could have been married with a whole other family or an axe murderer who MEETS UP WITH STRANGERS IN HOTEL ROOMS OR SOMETHING but luckily he was just a sexy, older professor.

Anyway, super fun, quick read! Lots of steamy scenes! Enjoy.
