Holly’s Choice: First Comes Like by Alisha Rai
This book is light-hearted, charming, and kind of madcap – just an overall fun read.
Ingrid’s Choice: You, Me, and The Sea by Elizabeth Haynes
Ingrid cannot stop gushing about this book. It’s atmospheric and beautiful and heart-rending, in the best way possible.
Erin’s Choice: Love at First by Kate Clayborn
Did Erin ugly cry? Yes, yes she did.
Other Things We Got Up To:
- Continued to survive 2020 part 2, despite the snowpacalypse
- Wrote up a spotlight on Jackie Lau (definitely try out her books, y’all!)
- Holly made a list of romance blogs she reads
- Finally processed some of our feelings about Bridgerton
- Made a special Valentine’s day list of books that totally wrecked us
- Erin talked about erotic romance vs. erotica
- Shared some first smut stories: Alexandra Alan, JB Lexington, Tiny Sparks

We’ve got some great books we’ll be talking about in March!
Thanks for reading,
The Ladies of The Smut Report
I’ve been a little sad seeing people not enjoying First Comes Like all that much, so I’m happy you liked it, Holly! Love at First was a work of art! I swear Kate just makes me ache in the best possible way.

I’m so glad I finally read Clayborn. It was so satisfying. And there’s a backlist!

Huh, I’m surprised that people aren’t liking First Comes Like. I thought that Jia and Dev were both wonderful characters absolutely thought that their actions made sense based on their characters. (I did think the last fight at the end was a little weak.)
And I’ve heard so much good stuff about Love at First! I almost never read the books that Erin or Ingrid have already reviewed for the site, but I think I’ll make an exception for that one. And for You, Me, and the Sea, which hasn’t gotten a lot of buzz, but which sounds amazing.
