January Wrap Up: All Our Favorite Smut

Hey hey hey, 2022 is off to a stellar start, isn’t it? Luckily, we have smut to keep us sane.

Our Favorite Reads…

Holly’s Choice: A Lady’s Lesson in Scandal by Meredith Duran

Duran’s superpower is taking a cheesy trope (long lost heir? come on!) and turning it into emotionally-satisfying perfection.

Ingrid’s Choice: Breath to Bear by Paula Dombrowiak

Ingrid was skeptical going into this one, because she wasn’t sure how Dombrowiak was going to reconcile all the baggage she threw at these characters in the first book of the series. But Dombrowiak nailed it.

Erin’s Choice: Something Fabulous by Alexis Hall

The reason is in the title, folks. Hall’s books are an utter delight.

Notes from Romancelandia…

Wellp, romance Twitter has been pretty, uh, active this month. If you are interested in such things, here’s the overview of one kerfuffle about all romance heroes being big.

On a happier note, the finalists for the 2021 Swoon Awards were announced yesterday. To see all the finalists (and make yourself a reading list, perhaps?) go here. To vote for your favorites, go here.

Want to support voting rights and maybe also win some awesome romance-related stuff? The Romancing the Vote auction is happening in February. Bidding starts Feb. 14, but the list of available items is up now.

Coming Soon…

As usual, we’ve got a good combo of new books and backlist reads. Plus, we’re doing a mer-week! Get ready for some flipper-tastic fish smut!

  1. Yes! Anything by Meredith Duran is amazing. Love her. I wish she’d come off sabbatical. And now I really have to read that Alexis Hall book. Another book in TBR pile…sigh. I’m so glad I found you guys!
