Heat Factor: The sex is very complicated on account of the power dynamics and the lies
Character Chemistry: I bought it
Plot: Emma is a plant in Connor’s office, so she’s a lying liar. Connor is just a billionaire trying not to bone his employee and failing. Can you guess what happens next?
Overall: My HR brain was screaming, but also somehow I was shockingly sympathetic to these protagonists.
Character Chemistry: These two. These TWO. She sees him, he brings out her shiny backbone. Love love.
Plot: Mia and Tyler end up as partners in a lab psychology lab project and while they start out rubbing each other the wrong way it doesn’t take them very long to rub each other the RIGHT way, much to Tyler’s dismay
Overall: Just…a flurry of feelings and then really well-written whoopie, and then feelings, and then I cried, and I loved it so much. So, so much.
Heat Factor: Considering how much they’re into each other, it’s a pretty slow burn (but with some intermediate stuff going on)
Character Chemistry: I was a little worried because Serena started out determined to show Archer how much she’s worth marrying, but they sorted themselves out
Plot: Serena was supposed to marry Archer’s brother in book one but ended up jilted at the altar, so Archer stepped in to save the day and the business deal
Overall: This book was very chill (except I wanted to rage at Archer’s dad), but also very awesome
Heat Factor: do do do do do EXPLOSION do do do do do
Character Chemistry: They’re the only two actually talking to each other in this book, so yep
Plot: Unwanted middle billionaire son is ultimatumed into an arranged merger marriage, so it’s a problem when it turns out he has real chemistry with the wedding planner
