Review: Daddy Crush by A. Anders (2020)

Heat Factor: I’d imagine it’s everything you’d expect in a sexy version of “virgin learning how to sex” story

Character Chemistry: Woo, boy, do these two want to jump each other’s bones

Plot: Sheltered mid-20-something wants to experience all the sex and romance that her family wouldn’t allow now that she’s independent, but the only man who does it for her is her standoffish silver fox neighbor

Overall: This just scrapes the surface of daddy kink

Review: Jewels of the Sun by Nora Roberts (1999)

Gallaghers of Ardmore, Book 1

Heat Factor: It’s very poetical.

Character Chemistry: Some of their interactions made me uncomfortable.

Plot: Woman goes to Ireland to Find Herself. Succeeds, and finds love as well. Plus she meets the King of the Fairies.

Overall: A disconcerting reading experience: even though it’s a contemporary, it reads like a historical.

Review: Thank You, Chlamydia by K. A. Berg (2019)

Heat Factor: It’s pretty hot. Except for the chlamydia. Chlamydia is not hot.

Character Chemistry: He fills her, pussy and heart (which might be one of my favorite lines EVER)

Plot: Chlamydia brings people together

Overall: Undeniably fun

Review: Under an Alaskan Sky by Jennifer Snow (2020)

Wild River, Book #2

Review of Wild River, Book 1

Heat Factor: Once they hop in the sack, it’s like bunnies

Character Chemistry: I’m not entirely sure that the chemistry is as good if you haven’t read the first book in the series.

Plot: She’s been pining for him for five years. Now that he might be ready to make a move, his daughter’s mother comes back to town.

Overall: I can’t deal with emotional angst when it’s just wrong.

Review: Blind Faith by Delphia Baisden (2020)

Sweetshade, Book #1

Heat Factor: Really great physical affection. Lots of hugs. Also some hot sex. But, oh, the hand kissing in the truck…

Character Chemistry: These two were super committed super fast, even with everything else going on.

Plot: PTSD, independence, homophobia, mistrust, love

Overall: The love story was totally sweet but the drama stressed me out like crazy
