Review of Fast & Fury, Book #1

Heat Factor: It’s not not sexy

Fast & Fury, Book #2
Review of Fast & Fury, Book #1
Heat Factor: It’s not not sexy
Character Chemistry: I confess I’m not sold
Plot: Lots of expectation re honesty and owed information
Overall: I just…what even…I don’t know
Heat Factor: Steamy STEAMY
Character Chemistry: It was going to happen from the moment she opened the door of that truck
Plot: Both are searching for answers on the open road, both end up finding a sexy, sexy roadtrip partner and DARE I SAY MORE
Overall: This was a fantastic and fun read
Department of Second Chances, Book 1
Heat Factor: Just when I was beginning to suspect it would be no sex… BAM
Character Chemistry: There was so much going on in the suspense plot, the relationship between the protagonists was relatively superficial
Plot: FBI agent + attractive single mother + serial killer
Overall: I’m not entirely sure how to reconcile my feelings about the first half of the book (chilling serial killer drama) with my feelings about the second half of the book (why are these characters so frustrating?)
Bombshell Series, Book 1
Heat Factor: It’s fairly steamy
Character Chemistry: It’s love-at-first sight, raring to go type thing
Plot: Molly runs a hair salon and is in the middle of a string of terrible dates when she meets Brenden, the new firefighter in town. But Molly’s having some terrifying incidents with a stalker and it’s getting NUTTY…
Overall: This was a solid debut and I was very happy with the suspense.
Chestnut Creek #3
Heat Factor: It’s not like a bell pepper but I certainly wouldn’t call it a ghost pepper either.
Character Chemistry: It’s a slow dance with some initial foot stomping.
Plot: Lorelei West and Reese St. James learn their respective siblings died in a car accident leaving behind a surprise baby. Together they have to figure out how to navigate both their new responsibility and their budding feelings for one another.
Overall: It’s a classic “poor woman saved by rich guy” type situation with a lot of curveballs.
