Review: Will & Patrick Wake Up Married by Leta Blake and Alice Griffiths (2015-2016)

Heat Factor: After a very sexy night in Vegas, it takes a couple episodes before they get busy again, but when they do, it gets kinky

Character Chemistry: I’m a sucker for “the grumpy jerk is secretly soft for the vulnerable sweetheart”

Plot: Will and Patrick wake up married, and they can’t just be unmarried because Will’s charitable trust is financed by his mob family who requires that the scions marry for love and forever

Overall: It’s a long ‘un, but I didn’t want to stop reading.

Review: Unicorn’s Instinct by Elva Birch (2023)

Daycare for Shifters, Book #3

Reviews of Daycare for Shifters Book #1 and Book #2

Heat Factor: Some boning with minimal details.

Character Chemistry: Who wouldn’t want a hot pediatrician unicorn who does the dishes without being asked?

Plot: Fated mates, with an expiration date. And then everyone gets kidnapped.

Overall: A different look at the fated mates trope. I liked it.

Review: Georgie, All Along by Kate Clayborn (2023)

Heat Factor: The kind of sensuality that comes with a lot of emotional but not specific description

Character Chemistry: Mercy

Plot: Georgie’s a mess on the outside, Levi’s a mess on the inside, and their messes complement each other until they crash and make me cry

Overall: I knew this book would give me big feels and tears, and I was right, and it was AWESOME

Review: A Forest Between Us by Allie Winters (2022)

Crescent Pass, Book #1

Heat Factor: We really shouldn’t but we want to (and boy do they ever)

Character Chemistry: Attraction plus kindness is always a winning combination

Plot: Harper and Owen got Vegas married five years ago, and haven’t seen each other since. Now, Harper wants an annulment.

Overall: I really liked this book

Review: Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison (2021)

Lovelight, Book #1

Heat Factor: It’s not not sexy, but the vibe was definitely in keeping with the cover art

Character Chemistry: Stella and Luca have been in love for NINE YEARS but refuse to a) admit it and b) do anything about it

Plot: Thirty-year-old woman is incompetent at both entrepreneurship and love, figures out how to do both during the course of this book

Overall: I was not a great audience for this book, but there are many people who will totally love it
