Character Chemistry: They’ve got a cute grumpy-sunshine thing going on—when Paris can get out of his head

Plot: Paris and Tariq are both competing on Bake Expectations, and the internet casts Paris as the season’s villain.

Overall: Was this a difficult book for me to read? Yup, it sure was. Did I bad decision book club it anyway? Yup, I sure did.

Series Review: Check Please! by Ngozi Ukazu (2018-2020)

Heat Factor: Kisses! 

Character Chemistry: It’s not like they’re without their problems, but this is a really lovely relationship

Plot: Bitty goes to college and learns how to be himself. And he falls in love with the NHL-bound hockey captain. 

Overall: I read everything within 24 hours. Absolutely delightful.

“Nope. Definitely not.”

Overall: Did I immediately read Book #2 in the series? Yes, yes I did.

Heat Factor: Two fairly detailed encounters towards the end

Character Chemistry: They really like each other, but it takes them a while to figure out how to communicate

Plot: Black ops anti-monster soldier rescues line cook from evil vampire, moves him into her home, and discovers that he’s the family she’s been searching for all along

Overall: There are some nice moments, but this book needed a better editor
