Cedar Hill, Book 4

Reviews of Cedar Hill Book 1, Book 2, Book 3

Heat Factor: Some nipple action, then fade to black

Character Chemistry: He pursues her aggressively, and she seems to like it

Plot: She’s the one for me! Now I must convince her of this immutable truth

Overall: People who are fans of one-sided courtship books might really enjoy this one, but it seriously did not work for me

Difficult Dukes, Book #2

Review of Difficult Dukes, Book 1

Heat Factor: It’s your medium-low-level histrom sexytimes, and it works well in context

Character Chemistry: The way these two processed their relationship – separately and together – was awesomesauce

Overall: I waited a loooooooooooong time for this book, and it was better than I’d hoped for

Character Chemistry: Mike is so so in love with Charlotte

Plot: Charlotte decides she wants dating lessons, randomly runs into her childhood best friend at a bar, asks him to teach her how to date. He agrees, despite his lack of experience.

Overall: More angst than I was expecting, but still an utterly charming read.

Heat Factor: Pretty steamy.

Character Chemistry: Since it started in childhood it’s had a long time to build.

Plot: Adelaide is desperate to regain her family’s respect, in no small part because she’s driven to work for the family company. To regain their respect, she ropes her brother’s best friend, Michael, into helping her pull off an event that will put her back on the map. But then…stuff happens.

Overall: This was a steamy, fun read but I definitely think it needs to be read as a series.

Sons of Neptune, Book 1

Heat Factor: Sometimes you gotta bang on the kitchen floor

Character Chemistry: They are really mean to each other, but they seem to like it

Plot: Marcus breaks his ankle fixing Henrietta’s roof, and is stuck in her house while he heals. Plus there’s some light espionage action.

Overall: I had some problems with the writing style
