Review: Four Seconds to Lose by K.A. Tucker (2014)

Ten Tiny Breaths, Book 3

Heat Factor: Sex is frequent but not super detailed; we get only the cursory information of what bits are naked and in contact. 

Character Chemistry: Girl with daddy issues + older man with white knight syndrome

Plot: Charlie needs money to disappear so she gets a job as a stripper and starts a thing with her boss. Also she’s reluctantly running heroin.

Overall: The purity overtones were unreal.

Heat Factor: Charlotte and Alex have a lot of sex, but the reader does not get to watch.

Character Chemistry: Mutual kidnapping is always a winner.

Plot: Everyone is trying to get a magical amulet, and more shenanigans ensue than you can shake a stick at.

Overall: A bit heavy-handed and there’s some weird stuff going on with the tone

Character Chemistry: I absolutely believed that they liked each other.

Plot: She wants to destroy his dad, but maybe he also kinda wants to destroy his dad?

Overall: The plot doesn’t always make sense, but I really enjoyed it anyways.
