Review: Release by Suzanne Clay (2022)

Heat Factor: Chapter 1: Glory Hole. Chapter 2: Phone sex. Chapter 3: Banging on his desk.

Character Chemistry: She takes care of him, he takes care of her.

Plot: Danielle uses anonymous sex as a stress release. Except this time, it wasn’t anonymous. It was her boss.

Overall: Very sexy with a nice message, but you must be prepared for a heroine with baggage to work through

Series Review: Daughters of Arianne by Joey W. Hill (2008–2009)

Heat Factor: There’s lotsa sex. Some of it is sexy. Some of it is wild. Some of it is BDSMy. And some of it is completely bonkers.

Character Chemistry: My female essence submits to your male energy.

Plot: A girl with a fish tail and a guy with wings hang out, do some traveling, and engage in an epic battle against the forces of evil.

Overall: If you’re in the mood for bonkers morality-chain paranormal romance, then these books are wildly entertaining. With a lot of caveats.

Review: Splash Me by Laura Lovely (2019)

Fairytale Remixes #1

Heat Factor: It’s a very smutty novella, so there’s a lot of heat in a small space.

Character Chemistry: THIS is what I loved—I totally got it.

Plot: April is on a business trip and sexting with her very new flame, Kevin, when he asks her for her secret fantasy. It involves the move Splash and Kevin is all in.

Overall: It’s quick, it’s cute, and it’s extremely steamy.

The Family, Book #3

Review of The Family, Book #2

Heat Factor: Mercy. It is absolutely filthy. *fans self*

Character Chemistry: Her spikey spots fit in his soft spots

Plot: “What kind of criminal shenanigans did my family get me into?” → “Guess I’m gonna make the most of this unplanned vacation on the Amalfi Coast.”

Overall: AHHHHH! Cliffhanger! (Not for Zoe and Alfonso, but this is such a dramatic series!)

Review: Blood of the Land by Adrik Kemp (2016)

Heat Factor: There’s a lot of sex. It’s graphic. And most of it isn’t between the protagonists.

Character Chemistry: So, the book isn’t actually focused on Mack and Jason’s relationship as such

Plot: Sociopath vampires wreak havoc on a ranch in colonial Australia. And then it’s the 90s.

Overall: WUT
