Review: Lucky Leap Day by Ann Marie Walker (2022)

Heat Factor: The door closes early! And I don’t often feel this way, but it’s actually disappointing because there’s a lot of possibility there for building the relationship during those scenes.

Character Chemistry: I honestly didn’t care what else was happening when Finn kept saying “my wife” (swoon!)

Plot: Woke up married (Irish tourist edition) plus Hollywood politics drama

Overall: The epilogue is from the dog’s perspective. 😐

Review: Sheriff Dragon’s Secret Baby by Brittany White (2020)

Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers, Book #4

Review of Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers, Book #1

Heat Factor: Well, they have a lot of sex, and it’s very descriptive…

Character Chemistry: They had a one night stand five years ago and even though he has fully embraced his “bachelor lifestyle” (ahem), she is the one who has always stuck in his memory

Plot: Dragon shifter has super baby dragon finder powers, discovers his secret baby, becomes fully invested in his new family (even when the baby’s mom runs away to Cuba), and also there are evil witches

Overall: What even is this series? This book was exactly what I expected it to be – totally bonkers

Review: Power of Eternity (Second Edition) by Carly Spade (2021)

Druid Duo, Book #1

Heat Factor: Garden sex!

Character Chemistry: “Red flags sprouted from him with each passing moment, but my stomach tried to wave the white flag of surrender with each flip it made.”

Plot: Hahaha totally bananas Irish lore adventure

Overall:

Review: Drawn in Shadow by Ashton Abbott (2020)

The Goddesses of the Morrigan Series, Book 2

Heat Factor: I’m covered in the blood of my enemies! It’s a perfect time to bone!

Character Chemistry: Macha is pretty self contained

Plot: Battle Goddess experiences several lifetimes, learns some stuff, kills a bunch of people

Overall: This is not in any way a romance, but it was an entertaining read

Review: Jewels of the Sun by Nora Roberts (1999)

Gallaghers of Ardmore, Book 1

Heat Factor: It’s very poetical.

Character Chemistry: Some of their interactions made me uncomfortable.

Plot: Woman goes to Ireland to Find Herself. Succeeds, and finds love as well. Plus she meets the King of the Fairies.

Overall: A disconcerting reading experience: even though it’s a contemporary, it reads like a historical.
