Review: Luck be a Lady Pirate by Catherine Stein (2023)

Sass and Steam, Book 5

Heat Factor: It’s a sweet and sassy kind of steamy—not too many scenes, but you’re not left hanging.

Character Chemistry: These two are fantastically well-matched. It makes absolute sense almost immediately, even when they’re butting heads.

Plot: A pirate and a therapist fly around in an airship and take down an evil bad guy, fool around, and fall in love.

Overall: This was a sweeping, adventurous romance with heavy hints the rest of the series is worth catching.

Review: Sorrento Seduction by Hanna Park (2022)

Part of the Passports to Pleasure Series of standalone romances

Heat Factor: The last bit is a big ole sexathon. On a boat.

Character Chemistry: Instalust becomes instalove

Plot: Hattie goes on vacation and meets an Italian hottie

Overall: There were some gaps and I was left with…questions

Review: Beautiful & Dirty and The Don by Katrina Jackson (2020-2022)

The Family, Book #1 & 5

Review of The Family, Book #2 & Book #3

Heat Factor: There is plenty of time for sex no matter what else is happening

Character Chemistry: A lot of this couple’s chemistry occurs in Beautiful & Dirty, but they’re so happy to be reunited in The Don

Plot: Shae meets Salvatore on a day that she’s about done with her selfish boyfriend, and when her day in Naples ends with a pregnancy, she’s a little lost…until her cousin’s disappearing act takes her right back to Italy and Salvatore’s restaurant

Overall: You kind of have to read the whole series, but if half sex, half mayhem sounds fun to you, I definitely recommend it.

Review: The Enforcer by Katrina Jackson

The Family, Book #3

Review of The Family, Book #2

Heat Factor: Mercy. It is absolutely filthy. *fans self*

Character Chemistry: Her spikey spots fit in his soft spots

Plot: “What kind of criminal shenanigans did my family get me into?” → “Guess I’m gonna make the most of this unplanned vacation on the Amalfi Coast.”

Overall: AHHHHH! Cliffhanger! (Not for Zoe and Alfonso, but this is such a dramatic series!)

Review: The Hitman by Katrina Jackson (2020)

The Family, Book #2

Heat Factor: I think sex on a public train car might be a first…

Character Chemistry: “I can trust a man who wants to protect me so he can fuck me. Your motives are clear.”

Plot: It looks like a mafia book, but it’s actually more like a road trip/heist book

Overall: This book is so unbelievably fun.
