Review: Sheriff Dragon’s Secret Baby by Brittany White (2020)

Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers, Book #4

Review of Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers, Book #1

Heat Factor: Well, they have a lot of sex, and it’s very descriptive…

Character Chemistry: They had a one night stand five years ago and even though he has fully embraced his “bachelor lifestyle” (ahem), she is the one who has always stuck in his memory

Plot: Dragon shifter has super baby dragon finder powers, discovers his secret baby, becomes fully invested in his new family (even when the baby’s mom runs away to Cuba), and also there are evil witches

Overall: What even is this series? This book was exactly what I expected it to be – totally bonkers

Review: Witch Please by Ann Aguirre (2021)

Fix-It Witches, Book #1

Heat Factor: She climbs him like a tree, so that’s fun…but I would have liked a little more communication beforehand

Character Chemistry: They were so not on the same page but also so into each other

Plot: So many drama shenanigans

Overall: Oof

Review: The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton (2021)

Dangerous Damsels, Book #1

Heat Factor: The door is very slightly ajar

Character Chemistry: Banter + assassination attempts + confusing pants feels

Plot: Let’s just say it’s bonkers

Overall: A very fun read…if you’re in the right mood

Review: Weep, Woman, Weep by Maria DeBlassie (2021)

Heat Factor: No sex, some grumpy pining

Character Chemistry: Santos is clearly interested; Mercy is a lot more invested in her relationship with La Llorona

Plot: Mercy was touched by La Llorona as a teenager, and now she’s trying to break free

Overall: I enjoyed this book a lot, but it’s not your standard romance fare

Review: Ink and Claw by Ellen Mint (2021)

Coven of Desire, Book # .5 & 1

Heat Factor: There’s definitely a lot of horniness. A lot. A lot, a lot, a lot.

Character Chemistry: There’s an insouciant horny demon who’s present for sex and not emotions, and there’s a werewolf who’s…complicated

Plot: Layla is a witch, and she’s got an incubus attached to her soul, and also she has a crush on a werewolf who (might be but probably isn’t) murdering women

Overall: Didn’t work for me but if you like totally horny, totally bonkers witchy fantasy, it might work for you?
