Character Chemistry: Sparkling

Plot: A Royal Investigator who follows the letter of the law but not the spirit + A Long-Lost Princess who has no interest in claiming the throne + A Transatlantic Voyage = Hijinks on the High Seas

Overall: It wrapped up abruptly, leaving me feeling vaguely dissatisfied

The Matchmaker Trilogy, Book 2

Heat Factor: Detachment → sexytimes → detachment

Character Chemistry: I don’t understand how they simultaneously work so well together and communicate so badly, but the give and take is wonderful to read

Plot: Eccentric Duke comes to London to find a wealthy bride. Naughty Countess gives him courtship lessons. 

Overall: Just the book I needed

Overall: I don’t think I’ve ever read a Kleypas with less drama, but it was extremely satisfying

Heat Factor: Sometimes you gotta bang on the kitchen floor

Character Chemistry: They are really mean to each other, but they seem to like it

Plot: Marcus breaks his ankle fixing Henrietta’s roof, and is stuck in her house while he heals. Plus there’s some light espionage action. 

Overall: I had some problems with the writing style

True Colors, Book #1

Heat Factor: Feels like closed door, even though it’s technically not

Character Chemistry: These two felt super wholesome and super young

Plot: New adults road trip to a gaming convention tournament. ONLY ONE CAN WIN.

Overall: These young men made me feel a little old with all their, “What am I going to do with my life!?” crises.
