Heat Factor: It’s a little more heart-centered than…pants-centered
Character Chemistry: The chemistry and connection is obvious from the first page with these two
Plot: Meredith is a wealthy widowed mother who moves back home to Blackberry Bay with her young daughter to start over. Cam has been living in his newly discovered (and deceased) birth grandmother’s lake house and is uncovering his origins when he starts to enjoy being drawn closer to his neighbor and her daughter.
Overall: This book was a cover to cover hit. Real characters, great setting, magnetic chemistry, and perfect pace.
Heat Factor: It’s not a crackling fire, it’s a warm glow
Character Chemistry: They start off as mismatched, secretly-attracted friends that grow into something more very slowly.
Plot: The plot here really is the romance and only the romance. Jude and Iris fall in love very beautifully, but if you’re looking for outside forces or exciting context, that isn’t part of this love story.
Overall: This is a very lovely book and I enjoyed it a great deal (even if I longed for more).
