Review: Hot Rabbi by Aviva Blakeman (2020)

Heat Factor: They have sex (a good bit of it), but it was more focused on the emotional connection and the kissing and touching than on the arousal and orgasms

Character Chemistry: Just because there’s an instant connection and attraction doesn’t mean it’s all smooth sailing from there!

Plot: Shoshana has a lot of emotional baggage associated with the synagogue. New hot rabbi single parent David would like to date her.

Overall: This story has a lot of good energy. Definitely a good one for people who like their protagonists to be checked in and thoughtful.

Review: Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake by Alexis Hall (2021)

Winner Bakes All, Book #1

Heat Factor: There’s a decent amount of mediocre sex, and then some spectacular sex.

Character Chemistry: Well…it’s complicated.

Plot: Love at the Great British Bake Off!!!!! (Obviously Alexis Hall is not looking for a lawsuit, so the name was changed and it’s not in a tent.)

Overall: I was feeling a bit anxious about where this was going in the first chunk of the book, but ended up loving it.

Review: Under Pressure by Allie Winters (2021)

Lessons Learned Book #1

Heat Factor: SOOOOO hot. So hot.

Character Chemistry: These two. These TWO. She sees him, he brings out her shiny backbone. Love love.

Plot: Mia and Tyler end up as partners in a lab psychology lab project and while they start out rubbing each other the wrong way it doesn’t take them very long to rub each other the RIGHT way, much to Tyler’s dismay

Overall: Just…a flurry of feelings and then really well-written whoopie, and then feelings, and then I cried, and I loved it so much. So, so much.

Review: A Billion Times No by Kenzie Reed (2019)

Fake It Till You Make It, Book #1

Heat Factor: Sure, I guess

Character Chemistry: Emotional chemistry? I’m not even convinced they had sexual chemistry.

Plot: Woman goes home for vacation, boss follows, and nobody talks to anybody about anything important so everything hits the fan

Overall: I finished this to satisfy my rage and for no other reason

Review: Lick by Kylie Scott (2013)

Stage Dive, Book #1

Heat Factor: The title refers to music, not a bedroom activity, but the bedroom activity is sexy

Character Chemistry: Great

Plot: 21-year-old celebrating her birthday in Vegas wakes up married to a rock star

Overall: This book is exceptional
