Review: The Will Darling Adventures by KJ Charles (2020-2021)

Heat Factor: They just crash into each other. It’s intense.

Character Chemistry: The way that Will knows he can’t trust Kim but also just really wants to love him is *chef’s kiss*

Plot: After WWI, Will Darling struggled with the return to civilian life until his uncle bequeathed him a bookshop. A bookshop that embroils him in a conspiracy, and brings into his life the perturbing and slippery Kim Secretan.

Overall: Exceptional. Absolutely exceptional.

Heat Factor: The moments when they connect are really special, but it doesn’t happen often

Character Chemistry: Gennady’s a bit of a cynic, and Daniel just can’t help falling in love

Plot: Wise Spies – they both know very well the games their governments are playing, and that connection forges unexpectedly deep trusts that carry through years and separations

Overall: Oof. Wow. How can I read another book now?

Heat Factor: Sometimes you gotta bang on the kitchen floor

Character Chemistry: They are really mean to each other, but they seem to like it

Plot: Marcus breaks his ankle fixing Henrietta’s roof, and is stuck in her house while he heals. Plus there’s some light espionage action. 

Overall: I had some problems with the writing style
