Review: Under Pressure by Allie Winters (2021)

Lessons Learned Book #1

Heat Factor: SOOOOO hot. So hot.

Character Chemistry: These two. These TWO. She sees him, he brings out her shiny backbone. Love love.

Plot: Mia and Tyler end up as partners in a lab psychology lab project and while they start out rubbing each other the wrong way it doesn’t take them very long to rub each other the RIGHT way, much to Tyler’s dismay

Overall: Just…a flurry of feelings and then really well-written whoopie, and then feelings, and then I cried, and I loved it so much. So, so much.

Review: First and Only by Allie Winters (2020)

Suncoast University, Book 4

Reviews of previous books in the Suncoast University series: Book 1, Book 2, Book 3

Heat Factor: So, so steamy it’ll be a hazard for the glasses-wearing folks

Character Chemistry: They didn’t stand a chance…just the way we like it!

Plot: Jake needs a tutor after his athletic career goes down the toilet after an injury and Eden needs to learn how to be a young adult, basically. A sexy, coming-of-age, teach-me-how-to-do-sexy-things type book that unfolds deliciously slow.

Overall: This whole series is just itching to be read in one long weekend.

Review: Only When It’s Us by Chloe Liese (2020)

Bergman Brothers, Book 1

Heat Factor: They’re not virgins but it’s pretty first love type stuff

Character Chemistry: Solidly “I’m going to antagonize you because that’s how we demonstrate our affection instead of being vulnerable”

Plot: A pair of 21-year-olds with baggage try to figure out how to adult

Overall: Heart eyes

Review: No One Else by Allie Winters (2020)

Suncoast University, Book 3

Review of Suncoast University, Book 1; Book 2

Heat Factor: Nothing like having no privacy to stir up a nice, hot, slow burn

Character Chemistry: Allie Winters lights the ole fire under these two pretty much immediately, then dumps some cold water on everything, and then it’s a nice simmer until we all finally get what we want!

Plot: Evan is earnest and completely head over heels for Natalie — always has been, always will be. But then it’s like…too fast! Too slow!! Crazy ex! What’s going on!!

Overall: Allie Winters takes her fabulous series and kicks things up a notch by embracing some really deliciously messy people and stirring the pot…

Review: Getting Schooled by Christina C. Jones (2016)

The Wright Brothers, Book 1

Heat Factor: It’s fiery. It’s a slow, steady fire.

Character Chemistry: Sincerely one of the best enemies-to-lovers I’ve read.

Plot: When Reese runs into Jason in the hallway at their university, they immediately set each other off…in more ways than one. AND THEY LOVE IT.

Overall: This book is so deliciously prickly and sexy.
